Five kinds of damage, explained
It helps to separate an EV's damage into types. Each needs a different kind of attention:
- Body damage: panels, structure and glass you can see.
- Electrical damage: wiring, connectors, fuses and power supply.
- Electronic faults: control modules, sensors and how they communicate.
- Safety-system faults: airbags, seatbelt pretensioners and crash sensors.
- High-voltage system concerns: the battery and drive system, which must only be handled by qualified people.
Assessment before any work begins
Some repairs can't be priced or even judged as possible until the vehicle is properly assessed. We'd rather tell you that honestly up front than promise a fix we can't stand behind.
